Here you'll find feedback & case studies from some of the schools who have taken part in this fantastic project.
Don't just take our word for it, see what they have to say!
Rosemary Cairns, Food Technology Teacher, The Ridgeway School
"Make Sushi in School is surprisingly straight forward and very exciting with few ingredients...I really felt the students achieved a great deal."

Mrs Pollard, Food Technology Teacher, Grey Court School, Ham
"I was looking for an activity for my tutor group to do for a scheme we run in our school called 'Graduate'. Students have to complete a series of tasks and activities throughout the year which results in them graduating in a ceremony at the end. For one of their tasks they had to learn a new skill and as a Food Technology teacher I wanted to do something 'new' with food that also promoted our school's healthy eating message. When I found out about Make Sushi In School I was so excited by this idea and knew this was the perfect skill to teach my students! I have to say I think some students were a little apprehensive about doing something new especially as some didn't like fish but once in the classroom and learning about the history and culture of sushi they were totally engaged and every student made their own successful rolls and they also enjoyed decorating them with lots of wasabi - they soon learnt!
I would thoroughly recommend this as an accessible, fun and new classroom based activity that anyone can do! I'm really keen to try some Red Nose Day sushi now and raise some money for charity!"

Headmaster
"The results create a real WOW factor which boosts self confidence and drives improvement. It also helps develop powers of concentration and psychomotor skills in the young."

Teacher
"This was the perfect project for us as we don't have kitchen facilities but could make the sushi in a standard classroom.
A great value project as I can re-use the equipment too."
