Grow Your Own Potatoes (GYOP) is one of the first primary school based growing projects. Now in its 10th year it has become the largest of its kind with over 2 million children participating so far. The project supports the primary school curriculum for KS1 & 2 with a focus on the importance of a healthy balanced diet, where food comes from and how potatoes grow.
Schools that are interested in taking part in this hands on learning experience should sign up for their FREE growing kit, containing everything they need to grow two crops of potatoes.

Following the success of GYOP, Potato Council identified the need to support children in their education as they progress on from primary through to secondary school.
CYOP gives secondary school pupils the know-how to prepare healthy balanced diets. Launched in 2011 with key information about healthy eating and nutrition, the CYOP website hosts a range of curriculum linked resources.
All resources are modular and activities are divided into three categories to help teachers plan effectively: starters, core activities and plenaries.
